About CES

The Fort Smith Children’s Emergency Shelter is the city’s only provider of shelter and care for homeless boys and girls, age 6 to 17. The children we serve have been removed from their family homes through no fault of their own. Most have been the victims of abuse or neglect. Others are the children of parents who, for a variety of reasons, cannot or will not care for them and keep them safe.

Other Ways to Help

We can always use gift cards and gift certificates to retail stores like Wal-Mart and Academy Sports, and we are always in need of certificates or coupons that we can use to entertain the kids while they're at the shelter. The children enjoy going to the movies, bowling alleys, fun parks, etc. All that play makes for hungry mouths, so they also appreciate gift certificates to fast food or kid-friendly restaurants.
